Best Wifi extender for R6020
I've recently upgraded my home router from a N600 to a AC750 (Model: R6020), and was also previously using a AC1200 (model EX6200) wi-fi range extender. I've noticed of late that the range extender has been unreliable, dropping out, and I've even had to reset to factory settings twice. So, I'm guessing its time to replace. As a result, I'm after recommendations as to what wi-fi range extender I should be considering to match/work with the new router (R6020). Ideally I'm looking for best range .. as I work in my garage as well on project, plus need coverage in a large sprawling house. Open to suggestions and recommendations ... I have been looking at the Netgear AC1900 (Model: EX7000).

how big is your home and what materials are the interior walls made off?
you're kind of caught in a catch-22. The router you bought is a base level router without a whole lot of improvement over your old one.
it isn't much of an upgrade. Your EX6200 has better performance than the R6020. As a test? Put the EX6200 in access point mode and hardwire it to the R6020. Just make sure your wireless channels (between R6020/EX6200) are seperated so they don't create interference with each other. See how it performs in AP mode.
