Blue dome light on WNDR3400
My dad has a Netgear n600 WNDR3400 wireless router.
When it is standing on the edge, there is a blue, round, dome shaped light on the side. It has a "wifi" symbol on it and says "WPS". You can push the button and the entire button is lit with a blue light.
There is no info as to what this button does when it is pushed and lit up.
I'm sure someone here knows so thanks in advance!

- jmizoguchiVirtuosoWPS is an alternative way to have WPS capable wifi devices to connect wireless router
http://support.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/96/kw/wps - jrm01NoviceI bought this router about 2 months ago and I am continually losing the network connection on my computer, but just for 5-10 seconds, then it reconnects. Happens several times an hour.
I noticed that when this happens the blue dome light flickers instead of being on constantly. Is that an indicator of a problem. - jrm01NoviceJust for fun I turned the blue light out to see what would happen. It went out, but a half hour later it was back on. What's up here?
- jrm01NoviceAnybody with any ideas? I'm guessing it's a bad modem, but would like input.
- Sherry07Tutorblinking doesn't mean it's bad. :)
somebody might ahve tried connecting to it using the WPS. - jmizoguchiVirtuosoDidn't realize this is posted on WRONG section.
