BluRay Connection

Trying to connect my Panasonic bluray DMPBD94 to the extender, it can find it but not connecting, sees the main network router, Cisco DPC3848c, and can connect but weak, reason extender installed. Working with all other devises. Found a site that says turn off proxy, but not an option on this dvd. Also 2g and 5g are options, which is better?Any help appreciated.
