Bricked AC1750 EX6250 WiFi Mesh Extender
A recent power outage resulted in my extender displaying nothing but a solid amber power light.
Reading through other posts, I attempted to factory reset. 7 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds - doesn't matter, nothing changed. Still a solid amber light.
Attempted to update the firmware following the provided instructions. Connected the extender to my PC to set up a tftp, light is still solid amber. I'm at the part where it's supposed to be flashing, but nothing I do gets me to that point.
I can't seem to reset or update the extender whatsoever, and I'm stuck.
Also this happened to occur the day my wife got COVID, so she's living in the spare room with minimal internet access due to the extender not working lol.
Please help.

tftp is very sensitive to timings. I've had it take a few tries before. so try a couple times at different times.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash
https://github.com/jclehner/nmrpflash - TroyBum72AspirantDid you ever have success? Similar situation totally hosed after power outage. Only thing in whole house, wasn’t a flicker or quick reset with possible surge plus we have protection. I’m guessing it’s $100 wasted for about 3 months of use.
