jjsh wrote:1-model is R7000, not sure how to check for firmware----Key detail with the r7000 as its not known for the best firmware. you can look on the router status page.
2-1080p
3-Roku----which one?
4-2.4ghz, but wifi is capable of both----should always be on the 5ghz for streaming if possible. it has much higher throughput for streaming.
5-3700 sq ft----thats a big house for a single router setup. I have a 3200 sqft home and run an orbi plus 2x satellites in mine.
6-sheetrock walls with wood studs. Hvac has aluminum tubes and tape-----moving devices around might help if there's hvac in the walls blocking signals possibly.
Hope this helps
Thanks
