Can I use EX8000 connected to the router by ethernet as a seemless wifi extender?
I am using an R9000 Router. I have a location that is too far or has too much interfierence to use the EX8000 through the the wifi extender connected over wifi. I have an ethernet cable run from the ...

I know other manufaturers do have this ability to use ethernet cable to connect the mesh.
on your question "Start at the beginning. What is your idea of a seamless wifi extender?"
I want to access all the same network. There are thing I need to get to on the main nextwork that I will not be able to access if the wifi is handed over to another netwok that is working independently.
So I dont understand your comment on more sophitocated. If the mesh system can recieve a wifi signal and extend it, why cant it recieve the same sygnal by ethernet and extend it? It appears the extender has the capacity to extend a signal, it seems pretty basic that I can choose which one, wifi or ethernet.
This seem logical as it will accept a signer through eithernet as i can use an eithernet cnnection into the extender coming off the router to set up a point of access. So both abilities are there, the ability to extend a signal as well as accept input from ethernet and send that out. It appeas you are saying Netgear's top of the line R9000 router and EX8000 extender are not able to do this.
I think it is clear I need to creat a mess using eithernet and I purchased the EX8000 because it says clearly on the box to use this with the R9000 to make a seemless mesh system.
I do also have another issue with the EX800 as well as another EX7700 that while my router is pulling over 900, the extenders are only at about 160 even if they are sitting on the shelf next to the router. But is I set up the EX8000 as an access point using the eithernet cable, I am pulling over 900. So the wifi connection on netgear's speedtest on wifi is substancially less. This shocked me as this is 3 signal extender with a tripple router. It should be much faster. (Need to solve the first problem first)
