Can i use Exteneder (EX5000) to extend the existing network and not create a new one?

Hello,i need an extender to extend the range. I saw a video about EX5000 but in all videos, they create new wife network.

if I have a wife ''name1'', can I use EX5000 to extend the range of this already existing wife network? I do not want to have 2 networks, I just want to extended the range of the existing network but in all videos they create a new network.

is it generally possible?

    Should work. It does with most extenders.

     

    Manuals are always a good place to start.

    Visit the support pages:

    Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

    Search the manual for SSID and you will see multiple references to "If your extender and router use the same WiFi network name".
