Cannot connect to my WiFi Range Extender EX7300 – AC2200 Nighthawk X4
Just re-installed the Netgear Range Extender EX7300. The WPS was used to connect to my WiFi network. The regular WiFi bands were joined to the Range Extender for both the 2.4 & 5 GHz. Operatin was ...

I am going through the manual and do not see your reference to a Wizard.
Could you please let me know where I can find that?
I'm not a huge fan of the app as many things can influence its function such as the router you're connected to. Or when its running mesh, you might be connected to the router and thats why you get that result.
What router are you using?
Modem?
A couple things you can try.
1. connec to your main router. it should have an attached devices page or along that lines depending on device. This list should have the ip address for your extender. Use the IP address for the extender to access it.
2. Hardwire into the extender with a laptop/desktop. Make sure to disable wireless on whatever you're using. many times the pc/laptop will keep using the wireless if its on.
3. If you reset it, it should give you the default wireless SSID again. You can reset it, connect to the default ssid, and then go through the smart installation wizard. Keep in mind, if you set it up in Mesh, it'll use the same ssid as the router.

It is working. The instructions aren't very clear.
when you set it up with WPS and use the mesh setup (default), it uses the same name as the router's using. So you won't see a "_ext".
If you go through the smart connection wizard (manual setup), it gives you the options of mesh setup or setting your own individual ssid's.

I took my original settings after the last update, and decided to redue them. Didn't touch anything but the reset with a pointed instrument. The original had the bands market with the ending in _EXT. Based on that, I expected to get the same on this redue.
Just went around the house with my WiFi analyzer and noticed that I had two 2.4G and two 5G and each pair had the same IP Address. Further looking at the analyzer, it had written on one of each the word Netgear.
The only conclusion that could be reached is that it was working all of the time. The reason that my mobile got no connection was that it was based on a different router. I have two one modem/router from my WiFi company and the other had different SSIDs which were the ones I used on the range extender. I found that to make the mobile work correctly it has to get its signal from the unit attached to the modem.
Unless I findout differently, case is solved. Thanks again.
