Cannot locate Extender Network Address

Hi,

 

Set up the extender today all looks fine green lights everywhere.  However when I go to Network on any computer or phone I do not see the extender name as one of the network options.  Instructions advise that this should be "MYWIFI........."

 

Could you please advise if there is an additional step I need to take and if so please eplain those steps.

    we do need some details. 

    1. what extender is it? 

    2. what router are you connecting it to?

    3. did you set it up using wps or the installation assistant?

      Hi,

       

      1. The extender is the Netgear Wifi Mesh Extender EX6250
      2. I am connecting the Arris TG1682G
      3. I set up via the Netgear Nighthawk App

        the key here is "mesh extender"

        If you went through setup and used the default configuration, it sets up as a mesh device. meaning it uses the same ssid as the router and lets your devices roam between the router and the extender as needed (based on their own protocol).

        If you log into the router, there should be an attached devicess (or equivelent) page. That should show the IP address of the extender
