Cannot Reinstall AC1750 EX6400v3

Several weeks ago, I purchased and successfully installed the AC1750 EX6400v3 as an extender to our network. It worked flawlessly until we had an internet outage during a severe storm last week. Once the outage was restored, our modem and router still could not connect to the internet. So, I took both of them and exchanged them for new ones with our provider. It took me until the next morning to successfully set up the new modem. Since then, while our internet has worked flawlessly, the router did not automatically connect to the extender. And I have been unsuccessful in reinstalling the extender.

The Nighthawk app will not connect to the existing network. Nor can it connect to the NETGEAR_EXT network. The one from the previous installation would not connect to my phone. It was so bad, I told my phone (Google Pixle 3XL) to forget the network. And it won't reinstall. I have attempted to add the NETGEAT_EXT network manually, but while I can, apparently, successfully add it. There is no way to connect to it. My options, as with the original installation, were to "Forget" or "Share". I deleted the Nighthawk app from my phone and reinstalled it with no success in installing the extender. I have attempted a new system setup, and it always hangs in attempting to connect to the Extender. I get the message "Extender Not Found". When I go to Settings>WiFi, there is no NETGEAR_EXT network for me to connect to.

Obviously, I'm doing something wrong, but I cannot figure out what it is. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Did you factory reset the extender to connect it to the new network?

Push and hold reset for up to 30 seconds while its powered on. that should reset it back to default settings.

then try setting it up using the installation assistant

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I did do a factory reset. And when I attempt to set up a new installation, I get the same "Extender Not Found" message. When I first open the Nighthawk app, I get a message "issues connecting with 'SpectrumSetup-A0' message with instructions to go to Settings > WiFi and join your Router's WiFi network. My phone is already connected to the router via WiFi. I've had this extender long enough that I cannot return it for another one at the store where I purchased it (I've thrown away the packaging). The extender shows the Power LED, the WPS LED, and the Client Link LED lit up. The Router Link LED is not lit up. Before the outage, all of the LEDs were lit up.

I have no idea what else I can do to reinstall this extender. And we need it for my granddaughter's WiFi connection.

My computer is a Windows 10 computer connected to the router via an ethernet cable.

What am I missing here? Thanks.

        You're installing with the app?

Are you on ios/mac? If so, make sure icloud relay and private mac/ip address is disabled.

Have you tried hardwiring the pc/laptop into the extender for setup? If you do, make sure the laptop/pc has the wifi disabled so its not defaulting back to the wireless connection.
