Cannot setup a new EX2700 N300 WiFi Range Extender
I have just purchased an EX2700 and am attempting to set it up. I'm accessing the device from a MacBook Pro with OS 10.12.6 (Sierra) and I've used both Safari and Firefox browsers. My router does...

A couple things to try?
1. check if you have any autofill or password managers. They're great at over writing login/passwords.
2. the login info is case sensitive as well as sensitive to spaces.
3. try to avoid special characters in the login/password
4. Try using a pc if you've got one.
5. also try going through the setup with the laptop directly connected to the extender. just make sure to disable the wireless on the laptop so it isn't defaulting back to wireless.
what firmware is the extender on?

plemans,
Thanks for your response. I've checked 1, 2 and 3. No issues.
4. I'll try a PC later when I have access to one.
5. I tried a direct Ethernet connection but could not access the device. This is consistent with what the manual says on page 16:
"Can I connect the extender to the router wih an Ethernet cable?"
"No. The extender is deisgned to cnnect wirelessly to the router or access point."
How can I check the firmware when I can't connect?
Regards.

You can connect a laptop/desktop to the extender. You just can't connect a router to it and run it in access point mode. The EX2700 is the base model for extenders so it doesn't have that feature. But you can hardwire a laptop/desktop to it.
