Cannot setup my Wi-Fi extender

I tried to set up the extender, using the extender in extender mode. That did not work. So I tried the alternative which was to connect with a web browser set up. That does not work either because I was told to go to www.mywifiext.net but that does not work either because I am told I am not connected to the Wi-Fi extender’s network

    Hi jfern,

     

    Factory reset the extender by pressing on the small black button using a pin for 15+ seconds and join the NETGEAR_EXT wifi network.  After you connect to it, browse to www.mywifiext.net and follow the setup instructions.
