Can't connect either Orbi or External Mode

I have the RBS50Yv2 Outdoor Universal Sat.  I changed from an Apple airport router to an ORBI 40 thinking the mesch system would improve the signal only to find out that the satellite is not compatible with this #6 version of the ORBI 40.  Just need to confirm that it won't work in extender mode as well.  Is this correct?

    Orbi 40? Sounds like your ssid name? 

    Or do you mean RBR40? 

    What actual model number do you have? 

    That'll be key.

    RBR 750 Router wont work with my Orbi Outdoor Satellite RBS50Yv2.   Why Netgear  make one mesh system that would not be compatible with another?  That came out in the smae year?
