I plugged it back in and tried connecting to it on my phone and it asked for 'authentication'. This is very normal and as with all Android phones a little notification popped up at the top to click to authenticate. Whenever I click this notification however I get sent to a blank screen which says something to the tune of 'error, reset.'1''. This doesn't happen on any other device except my phone?

Either way, if you don't know the current status of the extender exactly, get the Quick Strat and follow the installation processes from the device User Manual.
