Can't log into router at https://www.mywifiext.local/

extender keeps dropping wifi from router all of a sudden.  I'm trying to update the firmware for the extender but can't get firefox or safari able to open mywifiext.local.  any other way to talk with my extender or answers why my bousers can't find the site?
