can't login to N300 WiFi Range Extender(EX2700)

Bought this in April on amazon, just opened it today (Oct).

 

It asked me to create username/password.  I did.  Then it never lets me login. Just keeps asking for username/password

 

I even cut & pasted from the help with password response after answering my two questions.

 

No WPS button to push so I had to try to set up via internet.

 

Too late to return for a refund.

 

Am I SOL?

    It maybe asking you to sign into the admin page of the extender. If so, I have included the admin page default credentials below. 

     

    Username: admin

    Password: password

     

    Please let me know the outcome.
