Check cables
I’m trying to connect Nighthawk AC2300 to Spectrum modem. It says “checking cables” on app and that’s as far as I can get on the app. Using app on iPhone 11

What spectrum modem are you connecting to? This is kind of key.
Did you follow this guide?
power off both the modem and the router and disconnect all devices from both.
power the modem back on and give it several minutes.
connect the lan cable from modem to wan port on router.
power the router on and give it several minutes.
I'd also recommend doing the setup via a hardwired in device and not the app if you have that option.
