Configuring the extender

Can you please let me know how to configure the extender through the browser. The user name of "admin" and password of "password" does not work at all. Please help. Also, is there a possibility of someone else entering into my network through the extender as the data consumption has suddenly increased after connecting the extender through WPS. I would like to change the password of the extender to try to prevent this .
