Confused on EX6200v2 WiFi Extender extending 2G and 5G home networks

You can try accessing the extenders' UI to verify all the wireless settings and confirm the SSID (WiFi name) of the 5GHz band. You can check page 23 of the user manual linked below.

When I connect with my phone to Home2G_5GEXT, I do not see the 5G indicator lit. So it seems to me that I'm not extending my 5G network.

Dexter, great, thank you! I logged on to www.mywifiext.net. So I see the name for the 5G network and working on changing that now. It's doing a firmware update.
Will check back after this completes.

it's looking good. I don't see the 5G indicator lit up on the WiFi Extender. But I got the name changed and by looking at mywifiext.net I can now see what's going on.
