Connect 2 routers for one network

I'm trying to connect two routers to run a WAN-WAN system throughout my property. I followed the directions on wiki twice and both times failed. One of the routers is a modem/router combo. I have them connected with an ethernet cable, and thats the only thing I've done right haha. I'm getting internet connection on both routers, but I'd like it to be one network log-in so I don't have to switch back and forth depending on where I'm at in the property.

I know I could just go buy something else, but this seems like the perfect time to learn a little about this and I got this second router for nothing, so if you're just going to give me crap about the idea, move-along.

  • Okay quick update:

I found a similare post that says to enable Acess Point Mode, so I did it. However, now I'm not getting anything from the original router/modem combo router page. How do I know if it worked?

My goal is for me able to seemlessly move from one side of the property to another without having to switch networks while not  messing up my connection.
