Connect to tv

I have a netgear wnr2000 router in a different part of the house, just bought a new samsung smart hub tv with wireless internet capabliites, but the tv will recognize the wireless but the signal is not strong enough to reach the tv and there is no way to run a wire from the router to the tv. How do I connect the two?

  • Are you sure there's no way to run a wire? An ethernet cable is 0.25" in diameter.

You could try powerline networking - you have to plug both the router and the TV into power - be aware however, that powerline networking (like wireless) does not guarantee a useable connection - as a wired connection does.

And yes - I am serious about running a wire - it's not that difficult - and I just ran 50' of CAT6 from a TV on one side of the house to my router on the opposite side of the house and one floor down.
  • you want to consider power line adapter if any reason running cable is not option by no means of you lack of skills nor release house that may prevent anyway.

you can also use extender placing between the A-B point and you can connect TV to the extender such as wn2000rpt
  • I am on a slab foundation with limited attic access, a cable run may be beyond my capabilities. I may need a professional installer. Thanks
