Connecting WNHDE111 wireless bridge to PS3
Herro.
Basically I'm here because I thought connecting the wireless bridge would be simple.
But it's not.
I'm using a netgear modem/router, and I have the wireless bridge connected to the PS3, but I'm receiving an error about obtaining an IP address timing out.
Now, I'm not sure about tech stuff, but looking at the yellow card, it looks like there's two wireless bridges; one that connects to the PS3, and one that connects to the modem/router.
But I mean, buying two doesn't make sense, so that can't be the reason.
So yeah. Any sort of help would be appreciated. :)

- AerodromeNoviceAlso, if I do have to buy two of these things, I might as well say that my modem/router uses WPA-2 connection. This bridge should work with WPA-2... Right?
And, uh, I've got another computer which uses a wi-fi dongle, this computer should be able to connect fine if I stick this bridge in the router? - AerodromeNoviceOkay, I got another one and it still won't work.
Anyone there? ;___; - jmizoguchiVirtuosodo you realize that WHNDE111 is 5Ghz ONLY?
if you only have 2.4Ghz wireless router and not dual band, look at wn2000rpt, wn3000rp and wnce2001 - AerodromeNoviceBut shouldn't the bridge work with two of them?
The modem/router is 2.4 ghz, yeah, but iunno.
So basically, even if it's plugged in, this whole thing won't work? - jmizoguchiVirtuosoI think you are wasting the money using 2x of WHNDE111 any of wn2000rpt, wn3000rp and wnce2001 save you money.
5Ghz has less range so you would loose the range as well. :) - AerodromeNoviceOkay. Thanks for the help.
I'm going to (try lol) to return the ones I have, then get a WN2000RPT.
I assume I only need one, since it should be compatible with my Netgear DG834G?
Hopefully.
I'll post here again if I have anymore problems, I guess. - jmizoguchiVirtuosoWPA2 and you are all set...
and just one of wn2000rpt is all you need .... - AerodromeNoviceI think my router uses WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK.
I uh... think that's WPA2.
Maybe. lol - jmizoguchiVirtuosoThat is fine too!:)
- AerodromeNoviceIt worked fabulously. <3
Thank you soooooo much for your help! :)
