D6400 - won't find NG AC750 WiFi Extender

Question

D6400 (it's 3+ yrs old but up-to-date firmware) won't find brand new NetGear AC750 WiFi Extender network.

Already done:

=reset Extender (7 sec hold ==> green light returned)

=refreshed NetGear connection manager several times

=rebooted D6400 (unplugged x 20 sec).

= D6400 Manual doesn't specifically address whether it's capable of connecting to Extenders in general.

Thoughts?

usually you connect the extender to the router.&nbsp;What extender is it? AC750 is a speed.&nbsp;&nbsp;Firmware on it?&nbsp;

Factory reset the extender by pushing and holding reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on.

then you should be able to follow the smart installation wizard for the Ex2800. https://www.netgear.com/support/product/ex2800.aspx
