DG834Gv3 - WG602v4 WDS WPA2
Hey all,
Yes this old chestnut but after lots of reading and conflicting (old) information I think just asking might be the best way.
I have seen reports of this combination of devices working with WPA2 and WDS in some comments however they do not mention the hardware version of the WG602 [1].
It seems that the latest firmware for the DG834Gv3 (4.1.40) allows for WPA2 to be used in WDS mode, and also the option is available in the WG602v4. However I have been unsuccessful in getting them to work together, they work fine without encryption so the settings are good.
Looking into the release notes for the WG602 series I see the latest firmware for the v3 model (1.2.5) state that WPA2 authentication has been fixed [2]. Will the v4 get the same treatment? Or can anyone confirm that the WG602v3 can be made to work with the above router?

- jmizoguchiVirtuosowithin WG602 each other may do WPA, WPA2 but DG will only be WEP or no security
- WipsterAspirantHi,
Thanks for your speedy reply, the comments in [1] give the impression that since 4.1.40 for the DG WPA2 was working, are they mistaken?
Also it seems that inter DG834Gv3 WDS using WPA2 is possible since firmware 4.1.40 [3]
