DGN1000 + WG602v3 access point?

Please be gentle with a newbie :)

I have a Netgear N150 adsl2 router (DGN100) which works fine but the wireless signal is too weak in parts of my house for use with my HP Pavilion DV61216sa laptop running Vista Home Premium - it can see the wireless network but cannot connect as the signal strength is "poor" in 3 rooms.

I also have a Netgear WG602 v3 wireless access point plus 2 Comtrend Powerline adapters (supplied by my previous ISP) through which I can make a wired ethernet connection to the room furthest from the router. When set up the the WG602 is showing 3 green lights but hasn’t improved the signal as the laptop cannot see the WG602.

Can anyone in the forum please tell me if the access point & powerline adapters can be used together with the DGN100 to extend the signal range?

If yes, how do I do it?
