Dgn1000

Hi,
I have been supplied with a DGN1000 by Virgin media.
All in all I'm reasonably satisfied, but I have 2 questions:
not so vital:
1. When the PC is switched on and wired to the router the indicator light sometimes stays orange. I have tried other ports, still no difference.
more important:
2. I have a CCTV DVR unit wired to my router:
The CCTV unit is a Kguard, and it has a smart phone app (which I have on an iphone 3GS)
As long as I enter the ip address to the router - supplied by Virgin, I can access the cameras when away from home. So far so good...
BUT - if the router is rebooted, the ip address changes, and I then have to change the settings on the App.
Virgin Media area admant that they can't/won't "fix" the ip address
OK so far?
I want to use Kguards free DDNS service, and have registered with them.
However, and heres the problem - when I access the routers webpage, go to
Advanced & Dynamic DNS, I only get the drop down option of ONE service provider (DynDNS.org)
They now only provide a service for a fee (Kguards' is free)
Is this an unsurmountable problem? or is there a way round so I can use Kguards DDNS service.

Thanks

Dave
