DGN2200 firmware V1.0.0.46_7.0.44

So I recently got this firmware update, within the last month. I also got the Wii U when it came out on the 18th last month. Well I haven't been having much luck with keeping my Wii U connected to the internet. So I want to use the DGN2200 as just a modem (which appears to have been added with this recent firmware update). I have another router that I prefer over this that I'd rather use as the router. Well when I go to device mode and select modem only, I lose connection to the internet (no light). Well I just found out that it resets all my settings in Basic settings, with the odd thing being when flipping the router back on and putting the settings back, I still have no internet but the light is red.

Now I'm barred from the Basic settings when in modem only mode, I had to go to the status page to find out that my settings had been reset.

Is there any word on whether Netgear will fix this or are they even aware of this?
