DGN3500 with DGND3300v2

hi there experts,

my set-up:

my question:
if i get a gigabit router, like DGN3500, and wifi pair it up with my main DGND3300v2 router on inet, will the DGN3500 be forwarding data traffic between NAS and laptop, via wifi with main DGND3300v2?
or, will ot only exchange DHCP info with DGND3300v2 and keep data traffic between NAS and laptop via gigabit ethernet?

ideal sulution:
gigabit speeds between NAS and laptop over the ethernet AND at the same time still be online.

less-than-ideal-solution:
gigabit speeds between NAS and laptop over the ethernet and being NOT online.
i have successfully tried that with DGND3700v1 and WNDR3700 while ago, but forgot to try also bridging/extending wifi :( speeds were good but wasn't online.

target for both solutions:
having to purchase cheapest workable wifi gigabit router able to wifi pair up with my DGND3300v2.
from Netgear's range i think DGN3500 could be the one.
but i'm not a Netgear fascist so keen also on other makes and models (under £20 on eBay, which is how much i can get used/refurbished DGN3500 for).

(i cannot run cable between main DGND3300v2 in hallway and my room where in my NAS with laptop.)

yes, other solution could be powerline with gigabit switch, but it's not very convenient solution for me now as it incurs extra cost of 2 devices which i may not need in Fall/Autumn this year when we should be moving.
also disadvantage is not having extra back-up router.

thanks ever so much to all relevant experts!
Rob

you will have all the traffic but wireless repeat will be repeated to WEP or no security so that is weak point

I would buy extender wn2500rp and gigabit switch to use WPA2 main router

other than security issues between the two router's laptop and NAS will transfer data at gigabit speed
