EAX12 AX1600 INSTALLATION FOR ACCESS POINT
Just a heads up here on the above. I will just use the device as an AP on a wired connection. The login process and subsequent menus are some of the most confusing I have ever seen (I have 30+ years in commercial IT). Having entered my requirements for 2.4 and 5 I waited for its reset (it's a long wait).
Once you check the IP on your router and login, it persistently complains there is a connection issue. Ignore this and press BACK. You then get "Welcome to the Netgear Genie" (sic). Again, ignore the big blue tempting buttons and press "Setup Later" and you get the status page with everything ok. It's absolute nuts. Your welcome.
p.s. Netgear support claimed a network issue (and wanted paid support) - it's not a network issue, it's software design.
