EAX12 works fine for laptop but Amazon fire stick "could not contact amazon.com.

Router works fine with laptop and smart phone but Amazon Firestick, (4 different ones) give error message "could not contact Amazon.com. Please check your router or select another wireless network." All this since I changed to this router.

    Your subject says EAX12. That's not a router. It is a wifi extender. This means that there are probably several things between it and the Internet. A modem? A router? What are they?

     

    When the Firestick says:

    that is a clue. 

     

    Your Firestick is in the hands of the "up stream" devices rather than the extender. Did you do what it suggests and check your router?

     

    What you probably need to do is to sort out what is going on your network.

     

    Does everything else work on the network? If so, you might also want to ask the people who made the Firestick for help.
