EAX14 router light goes back and forth from red to green

I'm in a hotel right now with garbage internet. I picked up this EAX14 extender. I set it up and after connecting to the hotel wifi via their splash page, I then changed the SSID to something else. I have it hard wired to my Xbox. I only have my phone connected to the wifi right now. I haven't had any internet dropping on the phone or Xbox but the router light will change between red and green every few minutes. Does that mean there's an issue?

    The led that indicates the connection to the router? 

    It could be the extender switching between 1 access point in the hotel and another. Or the hotel has management that switches it from one AP to another.
