EAX20 - AX1800 configured as access point only allows single wifi user

I have setup a EAX20 - AX1800 extender as an access point in my garden cabin with an ethernet connection back to the AC3200 router.  Connected via ethernet to the access point are two sky stream puc...

What firmware is on the EAX?

Not trying to insult but when you set it up, did you actually set it up in access point mode? 

when you have more than 1 device connected, what does it show in the status page for connected devices?

What modem/gateway is your primary router connected to?

    3. The primary router is connected via ethernet is a Netgear R8000 and that is connected to a virginmedia hub5 configured as a cablemodem only.
     
    The wired devices have no problems accessing public internet, and a single wifi device can access public internet as well, but additional devices cannot.

      A couple things. 

      1. Screensnips are easier to read 🙂 

      2. Virgin hubs aren't known for their "modem only mode". They tend to suck at that regard. Try putting it in router mode and connecting the eax directly to it and see if it works fine.

        You could also try the vigin hub in router mode and the R8000 in access point mode with the EAX then connected to the R8000
