EAX20 AX1800 Mesh Extender won't connect to XR500 Nighthawk Router

For some reason I cannot get my extender to provide internet access to connected devices. I have the router setup and the extender setup and it just recently stopped working.

I reinstalled the extender to my network, and it successfully connects to the network on the setup page and completes setup. However, I am unable to access webpages when connected to the extender. Attemped on multiple devices, multiple different people attemtped multiple devices. When I attempt to update the firmware I get "error: no internet connection"

But on the main extender status page (mywifiext . net or the local version) I get all green lights and strong connection indicators. So it seems like my extender is connected to my router but not passing the internet signal through to the connected devices.
