Eax20 extender won’t work with frontier communications router
Anyone know why. My linksys extender works but not netgears.
Netgear said the frontier modem didn’t have enough security so the extender wouldn’t connect?
1. Most people don't actually contact netgear if they googled for a number. They get a scam site that sells firewalls/security.
2. What security is being used on the frontier router and what frontier router is it?
3. What happens when you attempt setup and what method of installing are you using?
It was designed by greenwave systems. Model number fios-g1100.
the G1100 has a self organizing network setting in it.
do into it and disable that option (might show up as SON) and then re-run the setup on the extender.
go to Wireless Settings/Advanced Security Settings/ Other Advanced Wireless Options/Self-Organizing Network Enabled and set to Off
