EAX80 extender loses connection daily
I have an RAX200 router connecting to an EAX80. I see that the EAX80 loses connection to the router every day (It used to work fine before this month). It is not in the router's list of connected dev...
What modem/gateway is the router connected to?
What firmware is on the router? and on the extender?
Did you set the extender up using wps?
Modem = CM2050V
I always auto update the firmware to the latest in the router and extender
The extender was setup using the network name and password.
I finally found the "solution" for it.
- Dont use the SmartConnect in the RAX200 router
- Use one wifi name for 2.4Ghz and one 5Ghz, say "wifi1"
- Use another wifi name for the second 5Ghz, say "wifi1_5G".
- Connect the EAX80 to the "wifi1"
This fixed all issues and is stable, no disconnections.
Sure, I am not using a tier in the router, but thats a small price to pay.
