I put the EAX80 into Fastlane 5ghz > 2.4ghz as you can see in the photo comparison.
The 2.4ghz signal strength was boosted to more than 2 x from 860m to 1729.
Hopefully this will resolve the dropped connections occurring way too often in the normal mode.
I will update this post in a few days for the results.

If the device is working fine in fastlane with the 5ghz functioning as backhaul and the 2.4ghz is solid, it tends to indicate the 2.4ghz backhaul connection is sketchy.
reason I say that, is when its in fastlane with the 5ghz backhaul, the 2.4ghz uses a different channel than the router. And y you say its stable and works fine. that indicates that its chip/broadcast is fine. But when its being used as a backhaul connection to the router, its not stable and drops, its indicating some issue with the connection back to the main router.

I am currently using a Netgear Nighthawk RAXE500 router and have been experiencing issues when connecting the EAX80 extender to my network. After performing extensive testing and even resetting/formatting the devices, I’ve identified that the problem occurs precisely when the EAX80 extender is in use.
Without the EAX80 extender, all my devices function perfectly without any issues. However, as soon as I connected the extender, the problems began. This seems to be a known issue, as similar complaints can be found on the Netgear community forums and Reddit threads discussing the EAX80.
