continuing with my post. It apparently does not complete the update, as when I go back to the admin page (sometimes I need to remove it from the wall in order to reboot, so my PC can see it) it shows as having the older firmware version
Any ideas on how to sucessufully update its firmware

Hi fschaeffer,
Welcome to the community!
1. What firmware version are you upgrading from?
2. Have you tried using another browser and/or computer?
3. Have you tried resetting the extender before updating the firmware?

I have tried resseting the extender as well as using both Chrome and IExplorer with no Luck
Now I am trying to log into the router to check the current firmware version, but it has been impossible to be able to login to the router admin page. I am connected to the extender wifi as well as physically connected via cable and with internet access, but when I try to login in at http://www.mywifiext.com/ I get the message that I am not connected to the extenders wifi network. Really frustrating. What I can say is that I have the first version of the extender and I have never updated it firmware
