Ethernet cable 60m from the router

I am trying to use the AC1200 EX6150 with an Ethernet cable on access point, I have the cable plugged in to the router after setting it up with a Ethernet short lead. The new position is 60m away from the router and it does not work.

Is the Ethernet cable too long for the signal?.

A decent cat5e or greater cable should be good up to 100m.

But it wouldn't be the first cable that had a nick in it or bad ends. Have you tested them
