EX2700 Firmware update V 1.0.1.58 fails

I received an email from Netgear advising me to upload the latest firmware to my extender however when I try to update to the file I downloaded from Netgear I get an error message telling me V.1.0.1.58 is not the correct firmware for my model. I have checked twice that I downloaded the file as advised on the website. Also when I log into my extender on the specified website (not allowed to name it in this message for some reason) it is showing as not secure. Any advice please?

Thank you, I have tried that and it says the file is corrupted. It has now happened twice.

           _What_, exactly, have you tried?

_What_, exactly, says _what_, exactly, when you do _what_, exactly?
        Which "the file"?

           That prohibition _is_ goofy.

It's common to get complaints from a modern web browser when you use
the management web site for a Netgear gizmo, because the browser is
worried about your sending some user credentials over an
unencrypted/insecure link ("http://" instead of "https://").  The easy
thing to do is ignore the warning, and proceed.  Presumably, you're
talking to your own gizmo on your own LAN.  If someone can overlisten to
that local traffic, then you're already in big trouble.
