EX2700 invalid password after hard reset
I was unable to connect to my extender so I did a hard reset. Now I can't get onto the extender, it keeps coming up with password invalid. I know I am using the correct password for my router.
When I try to connect via chrome but it says you are not connected to your extender's wifi network.
I don't know what firmware i am on. I have tried to download the latest but when I unzip the download the file with .exe isn't there, there is just an image file and a note file.
Please please can someone help me 🙂

when you factory reset, you have to start back at stock settings and follow that guide.
I'd also recommend not using wps and using the installation assistant.
If you've already tried to use wps, factory reset it again.

plemans' info is spot on. I'd just add...
Firmware files are typically a binary you point the admin UI at. They're not an executable you run from a client computer. You'll have to login as the admin first.
Look for the default login values. My device has them underneath. Honestly I just kept the default wifi name and password. Saves time later if I have to factory reset again. And I don't need it customized to feel special.
I DO change the default admin login password to something new. Often it's blank (nothing), password, admin, or something similar. It might be on the device too, or look for it's manual online.
