EX2700 n300 range extender

I have an ex2700 router extender and have just tried to connect to a new router. However, it won't bring up the Web page to login. I have factory reset and checked the address but I get an error messa...

you factory reset? 

And it shows the the netgear_ext option? 

did you try 192.168.1.250

    I did factory reset the extender and it was showing the netgear ext but wouldn't connect to the website.  What is 192.168.1.250?

      that's its default ip address if its not setup (as then the router would assign one)

        Hi there, really appreciate the response but I am not the most tech literate.  What would I need the default ip for?  Should I input this into somewhere?
