Try factory resetting the extender and installing it using the installation assistant.
Don't install using wps.
I think I tried to do this by holding the button down for 7 secs? Or is there another way? I cant find the page for reinstallation regardless.
Yes, to factory reset push and hold resest for 7-15 seconds while its powered on. The lights should blink.
Then follow the installation assistant guide. Its on the support site or you can follow the video.

hi there. I did as the video said but when I type in the name of the website, after connecting to the correct wifi, this appears and I cant come any further.
After you have reset the extender you need to set it up again to work with whatever router you are using.

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
