EX3110 and Speedport Smart 3 Telekom router

Hello to all,

I tried to connect an EX3110 to a Telekom Speedport Smart 3 a few days ago. At first connection was sucessfull but it lasts for just a few hours. After trying in vain, I did a factory reset and also updated the firmware of the EX3110 to the latest version. 

Right after the update I did connect sucessfully, but just like previous time, connection lasted for just a few hours. 

After the second try EX3110 could not connect to the Telekom router. I tried so many ways, from WPS to manual input of the password but still it could not connect to the router. 

I don;t understand why. I raised this to Telekom board and they proposed I checked with Netgear for any in-comptability - which I dont think there is. 

 

Does anyone have the same issue, and do you know how to fix this. 

Any idea is appreciated.

    Well, most of the details on the speedport smart 3 were in german. I'm not exactly well versed in that. But the one listing I did find that had *some* english implied its a mesh router. These can be a challenge with some extenders. 

    Not sure about the speedport but verizon had their own version you had to go in and disable "self organizing network". 

    Not sure about the speedport but it might be worth checking on their forums to see what others have done or what settings there are on the speedport
