EX3700 bricked after firmware upgrade
Similar to the discussion here (https://community.netgear.com/t5/WiFi-Range-Extenders-Nighthawk/EX6120-green-blinking-power-light/m-p/1438022/thread-id/20671), I installed a new wireless extender and at the end of setup, opted to update the firmware. Big mistake. The extender is now blinking green, evidence that it is now completely bricked.
According to all online support, I need to PLUG my DESKTOP computer DIRECTLY into the router with an ETHERNET cable. Is this 1998? I don't own devices anymore with ethernet ports (and I have many wireless devices in my household to choose from, both mac and PC).
Is there a way to reset the firmware without requiring ethernet? If not, I will be returning this purchase back to Amazon and will be purchasing a different extender.
According to https://community.netgear.com/t5/General-WiFi-Routers-Non/Can-I-update-firmware-without-an-ethernet-cable-to-my-computer/td-p/1001470, evidently there is no option without ethernet.
