Ex3700 connection failure

Using an EX3700 with web browser setup. I am able to go through the setup wizard but it refuses to connect to my 5G. I know the password is correct. I have done the factory reset and tried again with ...

Hi I'm connecting to a Hitron CGNM 2250 modem. During setup connection to the 2G appears to work, but the extender doesn't provide internet access for either bandwidth. I'm not sure about my firmware.

Did you follow the wps method of install or using the installation assistant?

    I followed the assistant. I did not use WPS.

        After entering the passwords for the two bands. It tries to connect but says it is unable to connect to the 5G band. I tried skipping connecting to the band which allows the extender to activate its extended bands but there is no internet connectivity. I tried running the setup wizard again from this point but with the same results.
