EX3700 EXTENDER WITH Apple Airport Express as router

I have my home WiFi via an Apple Airport Express(802.11n), on my MacMine running High Sierra10.13.6. I don't understand how to set up the extender, as I don't have means to wps on the airport express...

use the smart installationsetup proces from netgear. The support site has a video that walks you through it. I think its the 2nd video

https://www.netgear.com/support/product/EX3700.aspx

the manual also has the walk through as well.

Watched video and still having issues because there is no place that shows NETGEAR_EXT on my computer

Is it supposed to show up on my Airport Utility as Other Wi Fi Device or is is supposed to be set up in System Preferences as a Wi-Fi network profile?

OR am I supposed to set it up in one of these places??

Not sure as its a mac.
the EX3700 does have an ethernet port you can hardwire in to do the setup. Just make sure to disable your wifi if your computer so its not defaulting back to the wifi during setup.
