EX3700 Firmware

Trying to update the firmware on my EX3700 extender and there is no executable file that gets downloaded - just a "check" file and release notes.

The firmware won't update from the extender itself either.

What's up?

    I upgraded the firmware and after it restarted I could never connect the computer with the extender like I did before upgrade. Probably out of warranty and cannot get support. Do I pay $10 for support or spend $29 on a replacement TP-Link extender at Tatget?
