EX3700 Refused to connect
I havea Trendnet TEW-812DRU wireless router connected to Spectrum cable. It has been working fine ever since I set it up about 2 months ago. The wifi router uses IP address 192.168.10.1.
I purchased a Ring3 video doorbell. The phone app indicated the connection was weak.
I pulled out a Netgear EX3700 I used a few years ago (when I had a netgear router) and tried to set it up.
I have performed a factory reset, connected it via Ethernet with no luck.
I am using Windows 10 to try to connect to the extender. I have tried using Firefox, Chrome and Edge to connect to the extender
It does not recognize the web page, or at least chrome gives a "refused to connect" error message when I type in either the web page or 192.168.1.128.
Trendnet uses 192.168.10.xxx while the Netgear extender uses 192.168.1.xxx. Could this be part of the problem?
When I manage the Trendnet, it does not recognize the Netgear extender. I'm guessing that is because the subnet mask is 255.240.0.0.
However, my laptop, directly connected to the EX3700 via Ethernet should still allow access to the extender web page so I'm at a loss as what to do next.
I also have a EX2700. I tried, using the same steps and had the same result (refused to connect).
