EX3700 Security issue, netgear update

I’ve just received an email, not sure if a scam, stating security issues log in and download new firmware Do we have issues an is it legitimate

Very vague posting. 

A random email but you dn't include a screen snip. About potentially the firmware having issues. 

I'd start by checking what firmware you're on and comparing it to the offical firmware version. it can be found here

Your EX3700 is affected - however, like all extenders it does not have a Remote Access feature exposing it to the wild Internet.
