EX3700 wifi extender setup time out

during setup and configuration of the extender a time out occurs disrupting the finalization of the setup.  The disruption happens at the same point - just after accepting the connection to a device.  I have reset the extender multiple times but the same thing keeps happening.  ISP connection timeout.  Any suggestions?
